What we do
One of the main things we do, basic for any effective approach, is to create a Free Space, room to reflect, so that the real exploration can begin. Free Space is a space where:
- judgements are suspended to enable us to listen to others and place ourselves in others' shoes
- we feel free to question each other without hurting or feeling hurt
- we communicate in a respectful way; ‘authority’ is used in its original meaning, the capacity to help others to grow (instead of keeping them small)
- we keep a cool head amid the discomforting clash of opinions or conflict in dialogue
- new perspectives are sought and diversity is rewarded
- fundamental questions are addressed with the help of practical examples from daily life
- insights and conclusions are captured in words and sentences that inspire and motivate the participants.
